Once upon a time, there was a regular Shopify user with a business and marketing background who, like most store owners, kept trying everything he could think of to increase sales on his website. One day while perusing through the Shopify App store, he thought to himself, "there are a ton of integration type apps, but there aren't really any apps that will directly help increase my sales". So he decided to do something about it.
He called up a few friends who happened to be e-commerce gurus and veteran web designers/developers by day, store owners by night and pitched the idea of Product Upsell, an online version of a classic brick & mortar marketing technique. They immediately saw the potential in the idea. After a couple meetings they got to work and started building their first Shopify app. Before they knew it, Bold Apps was born!
Product Upsell saw immediate success and jumped to the top of the Shopify App store. Store owners everywhere quickly saw the value it added to their shop as they saw their sales increase overnight. The Bold Apps team didn't stop there, they had many other ideas to help not only their own stores, but all Shopify store owners as well. Shortly after, the second app in the Bold Apps family was born; Product Discount. Once again, their app quickly jumped to the top of the app store! After receiving such a positive response and an overwhelming number of rave reviews, it was apparent that other store owners felt the same way about the lack of useful tools available. Therefore the Bold Apps team decided to keep them coming. With 7 apps built in the first year, all of which found their way to the top 15 in the entire app store and no signs of slowing down!
